🕔Mar 08, 2013

The sea otter (Enhydra lutris) is an iconic marine mammal in the culture and ecology of Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) - the traditional territory of the Haida Nation.  Telling the sea otter’s story in the islands’ context interweaves archaeology, history, ecology, fisheries and conservation - yielding insights on future human-ocean relations.
